LEG Website Users

Hi LEGgers

We apologise for e-mailing you out of the blue like this, but be assured that it is a once-off event for good reason. All future LEG announcements will be made solely via the leg-announce mailing list. To sign up for the leg-announce mailing list go to [1] and look for the section called "Subscribing to leg-announce."

LEG would like to become an official university society in 2008, but to do this we need your support!

So if you're interested in helping promote the use of Free and Open Source Software at UCT, and are keen to help out during Plaza Week (Feb 11-13) then please send us an email, indicating what it is you want to do, and when you're available. Alternatively, add your name and contact details to the CLUG wiki page[2] which we are using to schedule the event. Also, make sure that you are on the leg-chat mailing list[3], as this is where preparations will be organised.

At the moment we need people to help man our stand and people to come up with ideas for the stand - what can make it interesting and appealing?

If you're not interested in helping out during Plaza Week (or simply don't have the time) then show your support by signing up for the society in 2008. You can signup at our stall during Plaza Week, on one of the many sign-up sheets around the various Linux labs on campus or on the LEG website[4].
