Presenter: Neil Blakey-Milner
Venue: [[Venue |]]
Time:

Notes: Zope is an open-source web application server -- an environment for web programmers, designers, etc to collaborate on creating and managing a dynamic web site. It has a number of features that make it ideal for multi person, multi-role web projects and incorporates access control, and other features that are a good idea when more than one person is working on a project.

Zope is written in the python object-orientated scripting language, and is itself also object-orientated. Applications are made up of components which are stored in a database and useable by the application developers. Lots of components are available -- like ones for connect to SQL databases -- and if you know python you can write more.

If you're interested in dynamic web site development then you'll be interested in Zope.
