Talk:Message filters with Mozilla Thunderbird
From CLUG Wiki
- Jonathan: In the "Other header fields" section, it says that "Sometimes the To or Cc field won't have clug-chat in it when it was sent to the list - i.e. Bcced messages." Does the clug-lists accept Bcc'd messages? Most (good) lists these days don't accept Bcc'd messages. If it isn't set like that, I think it should be, since Bcc'ing to the list in in violation of point 14 on the CLUG mailing list guidelines: http://www.clug.org.za/mailinglists/
No worries
CLUG doesn't accept BCCed messages.
However, spammers often fake the To addresses of mailing lists, so filtering on List-Id keeps that spam from making it into your CLUG folder. SR
