It all started innocently enough with a box of abandoned SCO stiffies (44 of them) that I desperately tried to install on my 486. I should have known better.

A slightly mad (but friendly) polish guy took pity on me, then my box and brought it back the next day with Red Hat installed. The rest is history. I learned the ropes on Slackware and enjoyed Debian before Ubuntu came along.

When I'm not grafting, I like to learn about distributed processing, artificial intelligence and game design but doubt you'll ever read about it in the paper.
