You can play games in different channels, each of which can hold 6 players, and has it's own set of rules.

Playing in TSL lab

Text mode client

Use an xterm, rather than gnome-terminal, because you can't press <F1> in gnome-terminal (can someone who knows the escape key for gnome-terminal, please add it)

foo@bar:~$ ssh tsl.uct.ac.za -t /tmp/tetrinet/usr/games/tetrinet-client <insert your nick here> dreamcoat.che.uct.ac.za

Gtetrinet client

First try:

foo@bar:~$ ssh tsl.uct.ac.za -Y /tmp/gtetrinet/games/gtetrinet

If you get constant theme errors, kill it and:

foo@bar:~$ gconftool -t string -s /apps/gtetrinet/themes/theme_dir /tmp/gtetrinet/share/gtetrinet/themes/default/

To use the uber-leet V2L theme:

foo@bar:~$ gconftool -t string -s /apps/gtetrinet/themes/theme_dir /tmp/gtetrinet/share/gtetrinet/themes/tetrinetL-V2/
